Our trivia contests are twelve-question contests featuring different question types, all worth a maximum of 1000 points. The longer you take to answer a question, the less possible points you can achieve with a correct answer. An incorrect answer receives no points. The highest scores at the end of the twelve-question contest win the prizes associated with that contest.
Once you have submitted an answer, you are allowed to change it before the time is completed. Be careful, though -- if you are correct, you will only receive the points from the time in which you entered the changed answer.
Multiple Accounts Each player on BigBrain is allowed one account and "multi-accounting" is expressly prohibited. If BigBrain determines that you have opened, maintained, used or controlled more than one account, any or all of your accounts may be terminated or suspended and any prizes you've won may be revoked or withheld.
Suspended Accounts There are a variety of behaviors that are detrimental to BigBrain and other players on the Service. Engaging in those behaviors may result in suspension of some or all functions associated with your account. Suspended players are expected to respect the disciplinary actions imposed on their accounts and all communication regarding restoration of your account should take place via the firstname.lastname@example.org email account.
Usernames BigBrain may require users to change their user names in cases where the name is offensive or promotes a commercial venture. The requirement to change will be determined at BigBrain’s sole discretion, and if requests are ignored, BigBrain may unilaterally change a player’s user name.
Experience Levels BigBrain will identify players with levels of experience and/or expertise with an associated player level. These will appear alongside the player’s username, and will render that player ineligible to enter certain contests reserved for players of lesser experience. Levels are awarded based on the number of games played, and the amount of money won.
Contest Start Times Contests will lock and allow for no further entry on the time and date listed for that contest. If you sign up for a contest and show up late, you will join the contest already in progress and may miss questions.
Users may cancel entries by clicking on the "Cancel Entry" link located at Contests > Upcoming. You may not cancel an entry once a contest has started.
BigBrain has no obligation to honor cancellation requests that are not received, or which are received after these deadlines, due to technical difficulties or other reasons.
Scripts Use of unauthorized scripts is prohibited on BigBrain. Any use of scripts, screen-readers, OCR technology, AI answer services, or any other technology deemed to violate the fairness of the game may result in immediate account suspension and any prizes you've won may be revoked or withheld.
You can withdraw your money at any time, subject to anti-fraud checks on playing patterns and deposits prior to processing. For all withdrawals we require a valid mailing address, birthday and social security number in order to file the appropriate tax forms at year end. To withdraw, simply click the Withdraw link on your account dropdown or in your My Account section. Enter the amount you wish to withdraw, along with payee information.
In cases where you have received a promotional bonus or other benefits as a result of your deposit and have not yet played through the deposit (entering contests whose total entry fees equal the value of the deposit), BigBrain reserves the right to refuse the withdrawal under all necessary withdrawal conditions are met.
Deposits You may deposit into your account using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or PayPal (American Express can be used via PayPal). If you're having any problems depositing money then get in touch and we'll help you out. There may be limits on the amount you may deposit in certain circumstances.
Contest Settlement and Payment We try to settle contests and run payments as quickly as possible, but must ensure we do so accurately. Most contests are settled immediately after the final question.
Service Access and Editing Problems
While we try to ensure that BigBrain is functioning smoothly at all times, like any online service we may periodically experience periods of outage or slow performance. These can sometimes result in an inability to access the Service, problems playing the game, or problems entering new contests. If you're unable to access the Service, please report the problems by emailing us at email@example.com. If there are sustained periods where players are unable to access Service functionality, or in certain other situations, we may provide instructions on how to cancel your entries over email prior to game time.
Since our game is a real-time, competitive game, having access to the fastest and most reliable connection is important. BigBrain will not grant refunds for problems associated with poor bandwidth on the user end.
Contest Cancellation BigBrain also reserves the right to cancel contests at our discretion, without any restrictions. This would typically be done only in cases where we believe that due to problems on the Service, there would be a widespread impact on the integrity of contests. In this rare event, all entries will be canceled and refunded.
